Bhote Koshi-5 Hydroelectric project is located approximately 90 km northeast from Kathmandu, the nation’s capital. It is conveniently located and has access to blacktop road which goes to China border via Barhabise from Arniko Raj-marga highway.
It is located in Sindhupalchowk District of Bagmati zone in the Central Development Region of Nepal. The Bhote Koshi is a tributary of Sunkoshi river a major river of Sapta Koshi river system. The headwork of the project will be located at Maneswara and Gatte Village Development Committee (VDC) and the powerhouse will be located at Ramche and Tekanpur VDC of Sindhuplachowk district.
